  • Consolidated the operations of the AAI engineering function and cut overhead costs by 21% within one month
  • Deployed standard engineering metrics to provide early insight into projects’ technical performance company-wide

Led the over 380-person, $200M engineering and test effort for AAI’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Business Unit.  Responsible for the ongoing development and fielding of the RQ-7B Shadow Unmanned Aircraft and the ground control system, as well as the Aerosonde small unmanned aircraft system.  Annual sales of over $700M.

  • Led a team responsible for developing the entire unmanned aircraft system, including all hardware and software on the aircraft, launch and recovery system, ground control systems, and all other support equipment
  • Restructured the engineering leadership team, grew the team by 50%, and 32% of the new hires were diverse
